This year CPA Ontario

  • Built more partnerships with government agencies and immigrant-serving organizations, expanding our pre-arrival program and partnerships with agencies that serve internationally educated and trained professionals.
  • Continued to align and enhance our online tools for students, streamlining processes such as transcript assessment and program registration.
  • Enhanced the student experience through multiple initiatives, including:
    • Launching an interprovincial student focus group.
    • Launching new self-assessment tools for academic prerequisites.
    • Launching the first harmonized student experience survey.
    • Refining the transcript assessment and communications process.
  • Held 3,563 in-person advisement sessions with prospective and transitioning students.
  • Launched the national Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) in Ontario, providing individuals with an alternative to the CPA designation and increased access to accounting and finance opportunities.
  • Made new investments in mentorship initiatives including a new online mentor-mentee matching tool and a range of networking events.
  • Maintained a large network of more than 1,300 student ambassadors of the CPA brand and launched the Board of Ambassadors Advisory Council.
  • Partnered with Junior Achievement to better educate high school students.
  • Provided more than 6000 students with access to a virtual library of debriefing material covering all competencies.
